General Information

Title

The Title entered here will be displayed in the top left of all recorded videos.

There are two 'variables' that can be included here which will be replaced with the corresponding data and kept up to date if it changes (e.g. via OSC or loading a new show);

  • To include your Show Number on the recording you can include ## in the Title.
  • To include your Show File Name on the recording you can insert $$ in the Title..

You can also change your show title via OSC Commands

Show Number

The show number can be easily edited and incremented/decremented from here or via OSC Commands. It is used in the filenames of Videos and CueSnaps as well as in the title if required.

Tags

You can define up to five custom tags (the defaults are Tech, Rehearsal, Dress, Performance but you can change these). To select a tag simply tap it. To change a tag's text and colour simply tap and hold.

The tag is shown under the Title of the video in the selected colour, and is included in the filename.

If you use single word tags, you can select these via OSC Commands using that word. Otherwise, you can select them using the numbers 0-5 via OSC, or specify any arbitrary tag via OSC.

Eos Console

IP Address

The IP Address of your Eos Console (this can be found in Device > Network)

CueCam will also attempt to discover Eos devices (including ETCnomad) on your network, and show these below. Tapping any of these will auto-fill the IP Address. This functionality currently works best with Eos consoles using the English language.

Please note in a multi-console environment you can only connect to the Primary Eos device. You cannot connect to Secondary or Client devices.

TCP Port

The TCP Server Port you have set in System > Show Control, if you leave this blank you will still receive cue data but the remote control OSC Commands will not function. You cannot use 3037 here as this is reserved by Eos for Third-Party OSC.

Eos Console Options

Some additional options are available here that choose the information displayed and captured in your CueCam recordings;

Console Options

Use Console Time

If set, CueCam will use the time from your EOS Console. To enable this you must enable Time Service in Device > Network (this is not available on ETCnomad)

Follow Cue List

The Cue Lists in your current show file are shown here, select which you would like to display or All to select all available Cue Lists.

Additional Data

Follow Command Line

If enabled, CueCam will include the current Eos command line on screen and in your recordings. You can specify the User to target here too. This is useful for tracking manual changes or for educational use.

Enable Eos Scene

If enabled, CueCam will display the current Scene from Cue List 1 above the current cue information. If no scene is available, the Eos Show File Name will be shown instead.

NB: At present only Cue List 1 is used for scenes.

Cue Elapsed Timer

If enabled, CueCam will display a running timer above the cue showing how long has elapsed since the last cue fired. The timer resets to 0:00 when a new cue fires.

Automatic Cue Snaps

If enabled, CueCam will save a single still photo (Cue Snap) of each completed cue when it reaches 100%

Tap Markers

From here you can configure the tap Markers used to place markers on-device, or from your Apple Watch.

Appearance

You can adjust the font size of the overlaid data from Small (75% of the normal size) to Large (120%) or Extra Large (150%)

You can also add a translucent background to the overlaid data (from OFF (0%) to 90% opacity) to improve clarity on bright images.

Recording Settings

Record Clean Video

If enabled, CueCam will record a second (clean) video without any overlays, saving both the annotated and clean versions. This is ideal for archival purposes.

Write Chapter Markers

Can be enabled for both Cues and Markers. When enabled, Chapter Markers will be created in the final video file allowing you to quickly jump to any cue in your show, or jump to the next marker you added.

Recording Format

You can adjust the bitrate and whether to use H.264 (more compatible) or H.265 (HEVC, less compatible but smaller files - ideal if sharing with other Apple users, but problematic on Windows at the moment) here.

Upload

You can enable CueCam to upload to Dropbox, tap the Dropbox option to connect to your Dropbox account and thereafter all CueCam Video Recordings (including Clean recordings if enabled) and Cue Snaps will be uploaded to /Apps/CueCam in your Dropbox automatically.

The Uploads option will show recently uploaded files as well as those in progress

OSC Commands

You can enable or disable OSC control as required. You can find the full list of supported OSC Commands here.

You can also specify a UDP Port for OSC, allowing you to use devices other than your Eos console to control CueCam such as Companion via a Streamdeck, or QLab.

RTSP Streaming

CueCam generates two RTSP Streams when enabled, for more information see RTSP Streams

Enable RTSP Server

If disabled, the RTSP server will not run. When enabled, the RTSP URLs are displayed for your reference.

We strongly recommend disabling the RTSP server if not in use, especially on older devices. Enabling RTSP uses considerably more device CPU and, therefore, battery. So turn it off if not in use.

Enable Overlay

When enabled, the same overlays that are visible on the application and recorded onto the video are included in the RTSP feed. When disabled, a clean feed is sent which may be useful for show relay purposes.

Location

CueCam allows you to automatically add your Venue Location from your iPhone or iPad's location data (GPS), this can be optionally overlaid on the video (ideal for touring) but is also saved in Metadata making it easy to search for recordings from a specific venue.

You can select from a list of nearby venues, or tap the pencil icon to edit and add your own.

Your privacy is important. We do not store your personal data. But your location is sent to our servers to provide nearby venue names to make it easier to quickly select your venue. You can still choose to overlay a venue name without enabling Location Services if you wish, just enter the name manually.

Licensing

Here you can purchase an upgrade to the full version of CueCam if you find it useful (which we hope you do!) - if you have purchased before and it shows the purchase upgrade option here, simply tap that and then tap “Restore Purchases”
