Venue Location

CueCam is designed to be used in performance venues and we know that touring is a big part of many of our users' life.

Therefore, rather than just store the GPS location your photos and videos were taken, we optionally perform a lookup that shows the nearest theatres, concert halls, arts centres, community centres, arenas, music venues, TV studios etc near you and attempts to match you to the nearest one.

Now rather than just pins on a map, your media files contain content like;

  • Eden Court, Inverness
  • Kings Theatre, Glasgow
  • Bridge Theatre, London
  • Tivoli, Aberdeen
  • Curve, Leicester

Especially if you use Spotlight on Mac or Dropbox, this makes it easy to find performances in a particular venue, but it will also be possible to add this information into the video overlay and file name in the future.

To enable this feature, your location is sent to our server. It is not sent with any identifying information, and we do not store this data. It's solely used to look up venues near you to help provide better metadata. You can turn this off at any time within the app and Location Services are not required to use CueCam. Please see our Privacy Notice for more information.

We do not collect any personal data.
