====== EOS Show Control ======

CueCam will send a number of Eos OSC Network Show Control Messages when actions are performed such as starting and stopping recordings, some users use these to trigger macros, channels, or recall specific snapshots to provide a visual indication of CueCam's current state as an alternative to the [[RTSP Streams]]

The following messages are sent when CueCam's state changes;

Additionally CueCam also sends a 'cuecam_recording' and 'cuecam_locked' state with an edge of 1 or 0 as appropriate when the state changes, although this is currently less well supported in Eos.

==== Using these in Eos ====

There's a few different ways to use these events, some users like to recall snapshots to provide a clear visual indication of CueCam's actions, or use these messages to control a light to indicate recording is taking place. 

For example, to provide a "recording" light (or an indicator on a magic sheet) 

  * Pick an unused channel number (or a real channel if you're using an actual light) 
  * Add it to a Magic Sheet and set the fill colour linked to intensity 
  * Record it at full to a submaster (e.g. 90) 
  * Create a new Show Control list of type ''Network''
  * Create Event List item 1 as ''Input: cuecam_started'' with Action ''Sub 90 On'' 
  * Create Event List item 2 as ''Input: cuecam_stopped'' with Action ''Sub 90 Off'' 

Ensure the Event List is type ''Network'', external ''On'', status ''Enabled'' 

Start a recording in CueCam, Eos should put Sub 90 to full and the light will turn on (or be reflected solid colour in the Magic Sheet). When you stop the recording the light (or Magic Sheet indicator) should turn off.
